Woke early as I have been every morning. Breakfast - coffee and pancakes with bananas...and after breakfast we headed back up the river to Camp Leakey.
I had a shower (was finally getting into the swing of these klotok showers! ;)) We hung around on the klotok and watched all the other klotok (and tourists) turn up and park at the dock...about seven klotok all up! All the tourists headed straight into the camp...so I decided to continue to hang-out on the klotok. That was a wise decision...as it poured rain!
I was happy to sit on the klotok and watch the orangutans on the dock...Percy is just so adorable!
Once all the other tourists came back to their klotoks, the sun was shining and it was super hot...so we headed into the camp and started off on a jungle trek...but alas...we too were hit with a down pour of rain! The rain was so heavy, that even the thick jungle trees didn't protect us from the big, heavy raindrops! We were drenched and walked back to the klotok!
We headed back up river to the second camp and we were going to do a late afternoon trek, but it continued to rain really heavy, so I decided not to go. We docked at the second camp all night and it poured rain all night! :(
