...I randomly followed some prompts and found that I was one of three to win a book called 'Monkey Magic - The curse of Mukada' by Grant S. Clark.

It's a children's book that takes the reader on a journey to the jungles of Borneo.

After visiting Kalimantan (in November 2011) and seeing the orangutans for the first time in the wild, my interest and compassion for these beautiful, intelligent primates just grew even deeper...I couldn't stop thinking about the orangutans and their vanishing environment! Whilst I was in Bali, at the end of my holiday, I just had to pop into Periplus (as I always do!) and there I found...the book 'The Intimate Ape' with a photo on the front cover of a sweet little baby orangutan. I had to buy the book of course!

Endangered Green Sea Turtles - Turtle Foundation

After my experience with the beautiful Green Sea Turtles on Pulau Derawan, which included snorkling and swimming with the turtles, feeding them banana leaves, watching a turtle lay her eggs on the beach, watching the baby turtles hatch out of their eggs and releasing the baby turtles to swim out to sea, I started doing some more research on these amazing creatures that can be found in the beautiful, serene Derawan archipelago!
